Event Details

The CDL training program teaches students basic driving skills, introduction students to the field of bus operation. Safety is emphasized as well as equipment knowledge and State and Federal Department of Transportation rules and regulations. Curriculum includes the Kentucky Department of Transportation Commercial Driver License Manual. Field training and is conducted on a one-to-one basis. This program prepares students for a Kentucky Class B License with a Passenger Endorsement.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 21 and older
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid Kentucky driver’s license
  • No felony or misdemeanor convictions within the last 5 years
  • Clean driving record for the last 3 years ( No DUI, no speeding or parking tickets, no seat belt or insurance violations, etc)
  • Able to pass a Kentucky Department of Transportation Physical and Regulated Drug Test

 

*$40 fee in the form of a money order or cashier’s check made out to  LUL, for criminal background check and initial drug test due at orientation.

*Must complete and pass a drug test the day of orientation

*Bring driver’s license

*Must RSVP for orientation
