Louisville Urban League Announces 2018 Derby Gala with Charlie Wilson

Louisville, KY, February 19, 2018— 11-time Grammy Award nominee and R&B icon, Charlie Wilson, will perform at this year’s Louisville Urban League Derby Gala, which will be held at the Omni Louisville Hotel on Wednesday, May 2, and is presented by Brown-Forman and Atria.

The event celebrates the Louisville Urban League and raises money for its programs that focus on jobs, justice, education, health, and housing. The gala is an official event of the Kentucky Derby Festival.

“We are so honored to be an official Kentucky Derby Festival event and we want to remind everybody that everything we raise at the gala allows us to connect people with jobs, justice, education, health, and housing opportunities. Last year the Louisville Urban League made a $25 million economic impact in this community and we could not do it without the support of wonderful individuals, corporations, and foundations.
