The Louisville Urban League is pleased to announce Anthony Roberts, Jr. as the recipient of the 2024 Volunteer Impact Award. This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication, commitment, and service to the Louisville Urban League and its mission. Award guidelines include 20+ hours of League volunteerism, involved in multiple service areas, and champions the League in their interactions.

Anthony came to the organization as a volunteer in July 2023 and quickly became an invaluable asset by utilizing his expertise in public relations, facilitation, and relationship building. He has generously donated 30 hours in support of the Annual Derby Gala, HBCU Classic Track event, Jazz Brunch, and Annual Report Luncheon. Anthony champions the League in his professional and personal life through Affinity Groups at YUM! Brands and his Adventures by Anthony travel advising business. His contributions have made a significant impact, going above and beyond, taking initiative, and inspiring others with his passion and enthusiasm.

“When you meet Anthony, you see he has a heart for people, justice, and economic empowerment,” says Michelle Honeycutt, LUL Volunteer Coordinator. As Volunteer Coordinator, Michelle built the League’s volunteer pathway to utilize the talents and skills of our community supporters. As a community service organization, the League values the engagement of volunteers to leverage finite resources to maximize the impact of high-quality programs.
