Expungement Services

The Reily Reentry Project is designed to assist persons seeking to expunge their record. The project facilitates the expungement process and covers most, if-not-all, related fees at no expense. In exchange, participants are asked to enroll in any League program that will equip them with the tools they need to be more successful as they move into more prosperous futures.

Please note that completing the application DOES NOT guarantee expungement services. Only those who are legally eligible for expungement in Jefferson County will receive an appointment. If your case is not legally eligible, you will not receive an appointment.

Shifting Power From the Past to Potential

For over twenty years, Bobbi suffered from active addiction, a cycle that led her in and out of jail and into a place of hopelessness. Bobbi’s addiction took her time, her dreams, and the ability to care for her children. After entering a treatment program and getting clean, she attempted to move forward with her life, but her past cast a shadow that was waiting at every door. Every background check forced her to face the trauma she was trying to outrun. The weight of her criminal record was a lifelong penalty she couldn’t escape even after serving her time. Then Bobbi learned about the Louisville Urban League’s Reily Reentry program, and the path to expungement cleared the way for her future.

More Than Just Record Expungement

RECORD REVIEW

Your criminal record will be reviewed to determine your eligibility for expungement. We will also provide information on next steps for charges that aren’t currently eligible or are outside of our scope.

MEET A NAVIGATOR

All participants will meet with a Community Health Navigator who will conduct a needs-based assessment that allows individuals to identify their top areas of need. Navigators will spend intentional time, working with participants to address their top needs.

WRAP-AROUND SERVICES

Like all programs at the Louisville Urban League, the Reily Reentry Project intends to support the whole person. By wrapping holistic services around participants and their families, the project can ensure that participants are empowered with the knowledge to succeed well after they exit.
