LOUISVILLE, KY – Louisville MSD, Louisville Water and Louisville Gas and Electric Company are partnering with local organizations to host the Utility Workforce Development – Sharpening Your Skills virtual event on Tuesday, October 13. Participants will get an introduction to local utilities, learn of current and upcoming job opportunities, gain workforce readiness skills, and learn about resources available from our community partners.

The three-hour event provides an opportunity to hear from utility and community leaders on their experiences and career paths. Attendees will also attend breakout sessions led by human resources experts on building a resume for utility positions, career transitioning during a pandemic, and job interviewing skills.

This free event is for a diverse audience of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels. The Utility Workforce Development – Sharpening Your Skills also wants to help those re-entering the workforce, looking for a career change, and those with transferrable skills from construction, operations, maintenance, and other trade sectors.
