A Healthier Path Forward

A Healthier Path Forward is our bold initiative to tackle childhood obesity in Louisville’s West End by addressing the root causes of health disparities. In partnership with Render Capital and supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, we’re investing in community-driven, system-level solutions that promote long-term wellness for our youth. This effort is more than a program—it’s a call to reimagine how health equity can thrive in our neighborhoods.

Investing in Community. Building a Healthier Future.

The Louisville Urban League is proud to announce the five community partners selected as grantees for A Healthier Path Forward.

These organizations are leading innovative, neighborhood-based approaches that expand access to nutritious food, strengthen pediatric health outcomes, and center culturally responsive care for children and families. This effort is more than a program — it is a call to reimagine how health equity can thrive in our neighborhoods.

Together, we are building a healthier future for Louisville’s next generation.

This project will support a challenge focused on finding and funding innovators and entrepreneurs who are addressing the structural barriers that contribute to childhood obesity.

If you’re a stakeholder, email Project Manager Ebony O’Rea for more information about how to get involved.

If you’re a community member, we want to hear from you! Take our survey, or join us at one of our upcoming community conversation sessions.
