The Louisville Urban League offers scholarships for JCPS students in grades K-12 to the Kumon Learning Center Wellington location. Kumon’s unique approach to learning can help your student master math and reading, build confidence, reduce homework stress, and earn their best grades ever!

To get started, follow these steps:

1. Schedule an assessment appointment
2. Complete the student assessment
3. Submit a scholarship application
4. Await your decision letter

If approved, your student will receive an individualized lesson plan and be scheduled for regular tutoring sessions.

Wellington Kumon Learning Center opened in May 2023 in the Newburg/ West Buechel area of Louisville. The driving force behind its creation was owner Ayisha Hayes Taylor, who believed access to tutoring services like this could help close the achievement gap for JCPS students. Hayes Taylor worked in the JCPS school system for 13 years and then went through the Louisville Urban League’s Entrepreneurship program to support opening the franchise. Since opening, this location has become one of the fastest-growing centers in North America and has received numerous awards and accolades.
