We believe in change.

The Louisville Urban League is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, community service organization dedicated to eliminating racism and its adverse impacts on our community.

Our mission is to assist African Americans and other marginalized populations in attaining social and economic equality through direct services and advocacy.

Our current service area includes the Kentucky counties of Jefferson, Shelby, Oldham, Bullitt, and Hardin; and the Indiana counties of Floyd, Harrison, and Clark.

2025 Impact Report

The 2025 Impact Report is a testament to what happens when our community refuses to wait for change and instead organizes its power into action. Across every pillar—Jobs, Justice, Education, Health, Housing, and Entrepreneurship—the Louisville Urban League shows how opportunity, accountability, and community ownership can transform lives. More than numbers, this report reflects the faces, families, and neighborhoods who define our mission and demonstrate that our power is greater than their promises. It captures a year marked by progress, partnership, and the unwavering belief that safety is not just the absence of violence, but the presence of opportunity and healing.
