Juanita F. Sands passed away on January 11, 2015 after an extended illness. Juanita came to the Urban League in 1997 as a Career Counselor and in 1999 was chosen to lead the League’s Center for Workforce Development. She was very passionate for the work she did leading the League’s Center for Workforce Development for nearly 16 years and helping the organization achieve new heights. Juanita was one of the longest serving Directors of the Louisville Urban League. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to her family and many friends.
