A group of young adult leaders have started a Facebook Group to share information, encourage each other, and help make connections during this increased time of disconnectedness. The young people managing the forum* will make certain the group focuses on relevant resources and that the conversation is positive.

To encourage participation and assist with some of the emergency needs our young people are experiencing, the TEN (10) most active group members EACH WEEK will receive a $20 Kroger gift card. We have sponsors for the first three weeks and hope employers and others will sponsor this group so we can keep it going.

How you can help:

  1. Join the Facebook GroupResource Finding and Advice  and add:
  • Full and part-time jobs
  • Program hours
  • New services and supports
  • Education and training resources
  • Ideas that address specific problems
  • Words of encouragement

A group of young adults in Louisville have started a Facebook Group to help connect each other to resources, jobs, and support. The TEN (10) most active group members EACH WEEK will receive a $20 Kroger gift card. Join the Facebook Group: Resource Finding and Advice.

  1. Encourage colleagues and adult mentors to join the group. Identifying the right (or any) work or school options in this uncertain time is a huge challenge. Trouble shooting complex and unusual problems as they come up will make or break for many young people. Adults willing to share advice and encouragement are essential.
  2. Connect donors/sponsors to Youth Build Louisville for information on how to support this group.

 * A special thank you to the founding members of the group, who have worked remotely to get the group going and are committed to moderating the content. They will be researching and posting info, responding to posts and questions, connecting people with each other and resources, and encouraging connections. So grateful to these leaders!
