During this time of uncertainty, we want to continue serving our clients, while maintaining the health and safety of everyone who participates in our free tax program. Next week, we will be piloting an online tax preparation model that will allow us to prepare returns remotely. Our goal is to continue serving the Louisville community in a way that is secure and accessible, all while maintaining the high-quality service provided at our in-person tax sites.
Clients will need to schedule an appointment online, complete a short intake form, and upload their tax documents. One of our volunteers will later call the client to review their intake form and tax documents before preparing and reviewing their return remotely. We will engage in one final review with the client, providing them with a secure, password-protected copy of their tax return.

We have a limited number of appointments available now, but we hope to expand our appointment offerings and volunteer opportunities in the coming weeks. While we know not all of our clients will be able to participate in remote preparation, we hope this proves to be a valuable alternative to paid tax preparation.
