*National Barbershop Tour* The Confess Project, a community based 501 c 3 non-profit organization based out of Central Arkansas, that focuses on men and boys of color with Mental health awareness and education. Since its inception in May 2016 the organization has provided awareness, education and trainings to over 500 individuals. The Confess Project will tour cities engaging men on the topic of emotional health and Self-Care. Starting with Louisville, KY; Atlanta GA, and Columbia SC and more to announce before ending in April 2018.

WHAT: Beyond The Shop is a grassroots initiative held in the barbershop targeted towards raising awareness, prevention and cultural dialogue among men of minority color in the barbershop. 1 of 10 African Americans struggle with depression. African-Americans and Hispanic Americans each use mental health services at about one-half the rate of Caucasian-Americans and Asian Americans at about one-third the rate. This will be a cultural competent event that will host healthy dialogue while discussing coping and prevention methods towards mental healthiness.
