COVID-19 Vaccination Site Opening In West Louisville This Week

Starting Wednesday, March 31 – residents of the West End who now qualify to get their COVID-19 vaccination can begin using a toll-free number or online direct scheduling for vaccinations at Whitney M. Young Elementary School, where a COVID vaccination site is opening on Thursday, April 1.  This immunization effort and any direct outreach is intended to target West End community members residing in these ten ZIP codes: 40202, 40203, 40208, 40209, 40210, 40211, 40212, 40215, 40216, and 40217.

People who live in West Louisville can sign up one of two ways:

  • CALL: 888-777-7219 – The appointment line will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning Wednesday, March 31
  • ONLINE: NortonHealthcare.com

The partners operating the new vaccination site will also host a media availability at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 2 at the school. Media will be able to interview one or more West Louisville residents getting their vaccination and representatives from the organizations bringing this site to West Louisville.

At this time, there will no vaccinations administered at this site on Monday or Tuesday.

Vaccines will also not be administered on these observed local holidays:

  • Easter –  Sunday, April 4th
  • Oaks Day – Friday, April 30th
  • Derby – Saturday, May 1st
  • Mother’s Day – Sunday, May 9th
  • Memorial Day Weekend – Friday, May 28th through Sunday, May 31st
