The Louisville Urban League is excited to support the first annual Race for Justice. This event was designed by a women-led student group. Inspired by Breonna Taylor, the movement that followed her tragic loss, and the many other injustices we’ve seen and experienced, this race is about uniting our city to move forward.  Proceeds from the event will be donated to six local nonprofits doing justice work in the city: Americana, the Bail Project, La Casita, Mattingly Edge, Queer KY, and Roots 101.

5 Person Teams complete 26 laps (in any number of per participant as dictated by the team), each mile is dedicated to one year of Breonna’s life. Individuals can register for a 1.3 mile run/walk — Breonna’s life was taken on March 13th. Along your way, you will hear speakers and see videos depicting our journey highlighting the work of our non-profit partners. The day will also include a celebration of justice with speakers and entertainment. We want our city to run, march, walk, and dance as we move forward. Together. For Justice.
