Financially-In-Tune (FIT) Budget and Credit Group Education

The Financially-In-Tune AKA FIT class is a 2.5-hour orientation of the Center for Housing & Financial Empowerment services in addition to a budget and credit presentation. This class is free and open to the public but you must RSVP ahead of time. The FIT is a recommended comprehensive, classroom-based consumer education curriculum that provides you with the building blocks to financial management.

In this class you will learn:

  • How to take control of your financial resources and planning how to use them

  • S.M.A.R.T. goal setting

  • How to analyze your whole financial picture

  • How to create and implement a personal financial plan

  • The 4C’s of credit

  • How to understand and maximize credit scores

  • Important consumer laws

FIT provides you with the basic skills to take control of your financial future! Simply follow the steps below to register for FIT classes.

Step 1

Step 2

Click “New user Sign up”

Step 3

Complete “Contact Information,” all required fields.

Step 4

Complete “Additional Information” from the navigation tools on the left to complete profile and FIT registration.

Step 5

Choose “Available Classes.” A list all available classes will appear.

Step 6

Click “Enroll.” Once finished you will receive a confirmation email.

Completed your class and ready to submit your application? Take the next steps, below.

1. Complete an Information Form

After completing a FIT class, participants must complete an Intake Form. A form will be provided by the Housing staff.

2. Complete the Intake Application

This packet provides the Center for Housing team the information needed to enroll you in your desired program.

3. Sign the Consent Form

This form gives the Louisville Urban League permission to run your credit.
