goIT App Development Camp

• goIT is Tata Consultancy Service’s (TCS) signature community engagement program in North America that increases interest in STEM and Computer Science through design thinking, mobile app development, and mentorship from TCS employee volunteers.
• The Best College Match Foundation (Best College Match) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of student exposure, education and achievement by collaborating with community partners to engage with, advocate for and boldly empower students, families and communities throughout the Louisville Metro area.

Students will:

• Develop a mobile app idea to address a community issue they’d like to make better
• Design a wireframe and storyboard for their mobile app idea
• Discover pathways for STEM education
• Learn about high demand computer science careers
• Become familiar with a few features of a block-based coding tool
• Pitch their idea for a mobile app to a panel of judges in a “Shark Tank” like competition
• Enjoy a snack and a full meal daily
• Be invited to participate in a goIT Spring Showcase
