Be Strong Anti-Bullying Rally

Our youth population today has become increasingly hopeless and the statistics show this correlation.  Be Strong strives to lower these statistics by inspiring kids to become empowered to influence change in their peers.

The 2015 CDC National Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance report indicates that 20.2% of 9th through 12th grade students in the United States were bullied on school property and 8.6% had attempted suicide one or more times in the past twelve months. Bully victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims, according to studies by Yale University.

Nationally, 29.9% of all high school students felt sad or hopeless almost every day for 2 or more weeks in a row, that they stopped doing some usual activities during the 12 months before the survey and 15.5% of 9th through 12th graders reported being electronically bullied via email, chat rooms, instant messaging, websites or texting in the past twelve months.
